In 2001, Mei began her journey in practicing restorative yoga. She first experienced yoga for the benefits of mental clarity and improved ability to deal with stress. This helped her though University but the lack of activity and movement working at an office and dealing with life challenges brought her back to trying other forms of yoga. In 2004, she started practicing hot yoga 3-4 times a week for a year and was able to find strength physically, mentally, and emotionally. Although she enjoyed receiving the benefits of flexibility, weight loss, and all the aforementioned attributes to practicing yoga, Mei wanted to deepen her practice and receive a greater sense of purpose and connection with others. Thus she completed her yoga teacher training in 2009. Mei shares her passion for learning, teaching, and active living. She feels most engaged when she can practice and challenge herself to a new activity and most at peace when she can focus on self improvement. Be prepared to be inspired.
